Something to think about
I recently read an article about using your time wisely. I think it was interesting in the way they broke it down. They broke it down into 100 ten minute squares. Which assumes 8 hours of sleep at night that is not included in the squares. The exercise is taking a typical day and labeling each square with what you are using each 10minute section for.
Typically you have large sections that are accounted for already, work or school, but that’s really only 8 hours or 56 squares so what are you doing with the other 44? It made me realize that maybe I’m not using all of my time the most efficiently and it gave me a way to see and collect data on my time management.
It makes you ask yourself, “What is important enough for you to take up an entire square?” I am not saying there is a right or wrong answer to what you use a square for, but it was a cool way of looking at time management. Not only a cool way to view your day, but a great way to actually track your time management and measure your progress.
