Punch and Drive

With warmer weather comes more toys!  Tomorrow we will be working with tires, sleds, and sandbags!  I think one of the most beneficial pieces of equipment we have are the sleds.  They not only help with sprint work but general conditioning as well.  What  everyone should be focusing on is the punch and drive of your feet/legs in the sled push. 

To be great at sled pushes you need to keep your core tight and drive your legs fast in a running stance.  The punch and drive of your legs is much like a piston, quick and powerful transitions.  The low position of our sled at CrossFit Bear will require a little more quad strength than just glutei and hamstring.
