Challenge Tips!

It’s official- fall is in full swing, and for Crossfitters, that means it’s Open season again too! 💪🏻🙌🏻

While I may not physically be @crossfitbear to take part in the Friday night lights action, rest assured I’m with you in spirit…and in the form of this little nutrition challenge that’s going down! 👊🏻

👂 Listen, I know you’ve got a lot on your fitness plate right now, with five weeks of super intense open WODs ahead of you, building your team spirit and tracking all of this good stuff, so we are bringing things back to the basics when it comes to nutrition!

👉🏻 Protein at every meal is a must, especially when you train as hard as CrossFitters do!

👉🏻The benefits to eating a healthy breakfast take up more words that IG will allow so let’s just suffice it to say that your body, mind and metabolism will thank you for taking the time to eat a balanced breakfast every day!

👉🏻If Carbs fats and proteins are the fuel to your engine -eating enough fruits and veggies are the oil change to keep the system running well!  6 cups a day is the standard, and with a little bit of effort should be a no-brainer!

👉🏻Nearly every single process or function our body does requires water, so don’t skimp on your sips!  Aim for half of your body weight in ounces every day!

👉🏻 Sleep is not a luxury, but rather a necessity! Without enough we diminish our body’s ability to recover, repair, and rebuild.  Want the secret weapon to making your training sessions more effective? Aim for 7 to 9 hours of sleep every night!
